If a customer has asked you to work with them through SAP Ariba, you need a supplier account to receive purchase orders and send invoices. This guide explains the Ariba supplier login, how to register, which account type you need and what to do when you cannot sign in.
SAP Ariba, Ariba Network and SAP Business Network
SAP Ariba is the procurement solution buyers use. The network where buyers and suppliers exchange orders, confirmations and invoices used to be called Ariba Network and is now part of SAP Business Network. For suppliers it is the same platform, and you access it at supplier.ariba.com.
How to log in to SAP Ariba as a supplier
- Go to supplier.ariba.com.
- Enter your username (usually in email format, but not necessarily your email address) and password.
- Click Login. Your dashboard shows orders, invoices and customers.
You can also use the SAP Business Network Supplier mobile app for iOS and Android. Buyers (employees of the purchasing company) use a different entry point, usually a link provided by their procurement or IT team.
How to register as a supplier
According to SAP Learning, there are two main ways to register.
1. Invitation from your customer (most common)
- Your customer invites you from their procurement system.
- You receive an email from SAP Business Network with a registration link.
- Click the link and choose Sign up (new account) or Log in to connect an existing account to the new customer.
- Complete your company details and administrator user, and accept the terms of use.
- The customer reviews your information and establishes the trading relationship. You are notified once your account is active for that customer.
Tip: if your company already has an Ariba account, do not create a new one. Find your account administrator and link the new customer to the existing account. Duplicate accounts are the most common source of problems.
2. Self-registration
You can also sign up directly at supplier.ariba.com and build your company profile. You cannot transact with a buyer until that buyer approves the relationship.

SAP states that a Standard account lets you transact with your customers entirely for free.
How to send an invoice in SAP Ariba
- Open the purchase order your customer sent.
- If your customer requires it, confirm the order and create a ship notice first.
- Choose the option to create an invoice from the order (a “PO flip”). Lines, prices and references are copied automatically.
- Enter invoice number, date, taxes and any fields your customer makes mandatory.
- Review and submit. You can track invoice and payment status from your account.
